Getting back into Homebrewing (Part III)

(Continued from Part II)

It’s been six years since the last time I brewed my own beer. I still consider myself a beginner when it comes to homebrewing.

Today I cracked open the first bottle from the batch I brewed back on October 22. It’s a simple IPA recipe.

It poured with a nice golden color and, not unexpected, a little chill haze. It could stand a bit more carbonation, but in all it’s not too bad. There’s a bit of a citrus aroma from the hops.

All-in-all, it’s pretty good. I mean, how can you not like fresh beer? And now I’m thinking about what I should brew for my next batch.

Of course, I’ve been talking about it so much that I’m going to end up giving most of it away. That’s okay; beer is better when it’s shared.
