Wish people would read what we say.

Point out one monthly beer magazine in the US right now … there is none. AAB is bi-monthly and so are the rest. Simple as that, nothing to pick or debate … just a fact.

Belive it or not the NY Times has run quite a few articles about beer. My mom always cuts them out for me (most likely because she knows when she’s over for diner she always gets to have a good beer to enjoy). I believe the last Times article actually was also talking about what foods to pair the beer up with.

I got a subscription for Christmas, so mine won’t be coming until Feb, but I’m eager to read it!

Curious that you didn’t mention All About Beer. Isn’t that a nationally available beer mag targeting craft beer enthusiasts?

All About Beer and Draft are both bi-monthlies. So if we’re talking specifically about monthly mags, then yes, BA is probably the first of its kind.

What about All About Beer ? It’s been around for years, and while I can be geek/industry oriented at times, it’s still got a lot of stuff for the average person who likes drinking & reading about good beer.

And there’s also Draft . I haven’t seen an issue myself, and I’ve heard some pretty negative things about it, but they definitely seem to be a consumer-oriented magazine based on the website.

While I’m looking forward to receiving the first & subsequent issues of BA Magazine, I find the claims of being the first North American monthly magazine especially for beer enthusiasts to be a little… well, wrong, I guess.
