Follow-up: Finding a lightly hopped beer
Last month we told you about Joyce, who asked us what was the lightest hopped beer, because hops do not agree with her body. It does “wacky things”, she said. It’s not about the bitterness, but the amount of hops, apparently. A couple of you offered some suggestions. Thanks.
We didn’t forget about her. So, when we found the likeliest suspect so far, we had to let her and the world know about it.
Ron ran across the website for a small organic brewer in Portland, Oregon: Roots Organic Brewing. (Of course. Where else would it be?)
Anyway, their Burghead Heather Ale is made with heather tips instead of hops. That sounds like just the ticket.
Unfortunately, it looks like Joyce will have to travel to Portland to get it. Anybody been there? Have any opinions or other information?
