I may have been out of pocket recently, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been enjoying finely crafted beers along the way. (And loving reading my favorite blog, Hop-talk.com) As a matter of fact, I’ve tried many new brews that I’d love to blog about; all were good, but some were definitely better than others.
On the list are three different beers from Left Hand Brewing, a smattering from Flying Bison Brewing out of Buffalo, New York, a beer from Spanish Peaks, and another new one, for me, from Southern Tier Brewing.
Of all of those, three stand out and I still cannot decide which I think is best. The English-Style Amber Ale from Spanish Peaks, the Extraordinary Ale from Southern Tier, or the most surprising one, the Buffalo Lager from Flying Bison.
I also have a six pack of the Samuel Adams’ Long Shots just waiting to be sampled. In case you are not familiar, the Long Shots are the winners from the Sam Adams’ American Homebrew Contest. I am also stocked up on the Sam Adams’ Summer Ale, a really well done beer, and a favorite of my wife.
So, I have a lot of good beer… rather, great beer, to blog about throughout May. I look forward to everyone’s comments and opinions, so keep them coming. Cheers!
