Craft beer sales continue to expand

The latest numbers are out from Nielsen on beer sales in the U.S. Large domestic brewers are down, as well as imports. Craft beer gained again.

Crafts picked up sixth-tenths of a point of case share in supermarkets during the four weeks ended May 5, according to beer sales statistics from Nielsen. Crafts have been gaining share for more than three years.

Boston Beer, the brewer of Samuel Adams and the biggest craft brewer, saw share grow by a tenth of a point during the latest period…

Import share, meanwhile, was flat during the period…
