A recent AP story pointed out that Americans are no longer the tallest people in the world. We’ve ceded that distinction to other industrialized countries.
In the Czech Republic, per capita income is barely half of what it is in the United States. Even so, Czechs are taller than Americans. So are Belgians, who collect 84 percent as much income as Americans.
Dave J., a fellow member of F.O.A.M, points out:
Duh! It’s the beer you idiot! The Czechs have the largest per capita consumption of beer in the world. And we all know the Belgians certainly have the largest per capita consumption of quality beer! Geez. How many research dollars did they get for ignoring the obvious?
