In beer production, anyway.
The Beer Institute recently announced that 23.3 million barrels were brewed in Colorado in 2006, making them the top producing state. That’s 724.5 million gallons. Or, 1219 pints for every man, woman, and child in the Centennial State. It beat out California and New York, numbers 1 and 3 based on population. (Colorado ranks 22 for population.)
A large part of that comes from Coors, of course.
The Beer Institute and the National Beer Wholesalers Association also found that beer contributes $12.4 million annually to Colorado’s economy.
