I did this in the *gasp* sunlight, so you can see the separation better. Note the upside-down spoon, as well.

Yeah, I’ve tried it myself other day. It looked all right.
I blended a Eisenbahn Pale Ale (national craft beer) with the very same Guinness as the video, although with a Beamish pint glass, it was all I had that night.

Wikipedia has a large list of variations, some with some rather clever names. Of course, there’s no indication of the popularity of any of them.
