Lakefront Brewery Organic E.S.B.

So, after enjoying the five Lakefront Cherry Lagers that strangely found themselves in the six-pack basket of Lakefront Organic E.S.B. I bought, I decided I should try what I’d actually set out to buy.

They say:

One of the few beers brewed in the world using 100% certified organic ingredients. A classic British style Extra Special Bitter that is amber in color with cascade hop flavor that gives it a refreshing taste.

Pours a nice golden color with some red highlights. Head is modest and quickly reduces to a small layer of foam.

Aroma is biscuity. It’s medium-bodied, with a good amount of carbonation. There’s a distinctive fruitiness in the finish (pears?) and a nice bit of hop bite on the end.

Pretty darn good, and rather refreshing on these recent 100-degree days.
