Beer-a-Day #323 This dog enjoys his days in the sun… Old Scratch Amber Lager is a malty, mellow beer that is fermented at medium temperatures to develop both ale and lager characteristics. “Gold Scratch” raises the standard in the amber lager category. Beer-a-Day #218 Nice deep amber color with a finger’s-width of head. Aroma has a bit of caramel and lemon candy. Medium body, with a bit of roastiness. I like it. Beer-a-Day #69 This begins a new six-pack of beers from a single brewer. This time I’m doing Abita Beer. First up is Abita Amber. Medium amber (duh!) in color, a healthy ivory colored head. Malty aroma with a bit of peanuttiness. Body is heavier than I expected and quite malty. Abita Amber submit_url = ‘http://hop-talk.com/2009/03/10/abita-amber/’;

Beer-a-Day #51 This is the second beer from Legacy Brewing I picked up recently. Never heard of them before this. Medium-deep amber color with orange highlights. Head dissipates quickly. Almost a maple syrup aroma. Burnt caramel in the flavor, and not as much hops as I expected based on the description on the website. submit_url
