This is day five of Samuel Smith week.
Oatmeal stout is one of my favorite styles.
Dark brown and a beige head, about a finger-and-a-half worth. Smells rather like pumpernickel bread, actually. Nice, smooth body. Yum.

Ahh, this was my first good beer. Many years ago I hated beer, and one bottle of this turned me around. I had no idea at the time that beer was not the fizzy yellow stuff.
I’m glad you achieved enlightenment.
I often think about how drab my life would be if I hadn’t discovered good beer.
