Beer-a-Day #74 This is the last of a six-pack from Abita Beer. A nice amber color with orange highlights. Big spicy hop aroma. That’s interesting. A good bit of hops but not all that bitter. An interesting fruitiness too. I never thought I’d be surprised by an IPA. Good stuff. Abita Jockamo IPA submit_url =

Beer-a-Day #72 This is number four of a six-pack from Abita Beer. After two beers gone bad, I’m hoping for a good experience. Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. A bit of citrusey hops. Body’s lighter than I expected, with a little hop bite. Now this is more like it. Abita Restoration

Beer-a-Day #69 This begins a new six-pack of beers from a single brewer. This time I’m doing Abita Beer. First up is Abita Amber. Medium amber (duh!) in color, a healthy ivory colored head. Malty aroma with a bit of peanuttiness. Body is heavier than I expected and quite malty. Abita Amber submit_url = ‘http://hop-talk.com/2009/03/10/abita-amber/’;
