Colored like molasses, and nearly as thick. A thick head with the distinct color of spackle. Big malty aroma. Sweet and smooth and big. Very hearty. I like it.

When I had this brew, it kind of turned me off. I don’t think I was in the mood for the medium sweetness of it. I remember feeling it was one of their lesser big beers. I would go it the Hibernation or Yeti instead.
Best Scotch Ale I’ve had by American Brewery, and I’ve had most ‘em. Not as heavy as the Yeti true, but I think it well with the category of ale it puts itself in.
