My sister-in-law and niece are visiting over the holiday weekend, so we went down to D.C. to take in the sights.
We had a very pleasant lunch at Capitol City’s downtown location. Their current seasonal offering is an organic saison. I’ve been getting into saisons lately, after having never had them at all.
The pineapple in the aroma was very noticeable, and it was quite good. My wife also had and enjoyed one. Best get one before they’re all gone.
love your site…learning some new brews everyday. i’ve never heard of saison before, but will definitely be on the lookout to try it out when i have the chance. sounds very interesting
by the way, i saw the list of books about beer on the side and was wondering if you recommended anything for a beginner who wants to know more about the different types of beers, production, and tasting?
Believe it or not, Beer for Dummies actually provides a rather good overview of a wide range of beer topics but, like all …Dummies books, is very approachable.
