Beer-a-Day #212
A refreshing neo-BerlinerWeisse fermented with honest-to-goodness peaches to (get this!) 4.5% abv! Because extreme beers don’t have to be extremely boozy! Available in 4-pack and draft during the sweaty months.
Pale straw with a little chill haze. Just a hint of peaches in the aroma. Taste is rather more tart than I expected. It’s refreshing though.
I tried this out recently, and I found it way too tart to enjoy. Maybe it’ll change with time, but this is the only Dogfish I haven’t liked.
Enjoy the Beer A Day! Keep it up!
I recently reviewed this beer as well. I’m already a fan of sour/tart beers and this one was a pleasant surprise. I’ve become quite the fan of the Festina Peche. In some cases it takes a while to get used to sour beers but for those wanting to get into them this is a good starter. Save the real sour beers, like New Belgium’s La Folie, for later until you’re ready for them.
