Pyramid Rollick Amber Lager
Nice deep amber color with a finger’s-width of head. Aroma has a bit of caramel and lemon candy. Medium body, with a bit of roastiness. I like it.

One pleasant side effect of my Beer-a-Day project is hearing from the brewers whose beer I included. One such is Pyramid Breweries, who were so happy to see five of their beers in my list they sent me some tchotchkes:
I love the industrial-strength church key as well as the t-shirt for my wife. Very thoughtful. [...]

Beer-a-Day #345
Deep mahogany in color, our full-bodied winter warmer is brewed in the spirit of British winter ales. Crafted with a flurry of roasted chocolate and caramel malts, and generously hopped, it delivers a smooth finish that makes this beer the perfect cold weather companion.
‘Tis the season for the winter warmer. I expect I’ll [...]

Beer-a-Day #290
This robust dark brew has been created in conjunction with Crescent Moon to coffee to come up with a special five bean blend to bring out the depth of the beer. Originally produced to celebrate our 10th anniversary, this has now become our late-winter seasonal. Note the aromas of toffee, licorice and coffee roastiness. [...]

The cap says: “Without hops the world stops”
We’re back to sweltering summer weather, but that little chill we had last week is a reminder that autumn is just around the corner. My favorite season.
It’s the color of dried apricot. Head is off-white with some staying power. Nice big grassy hop aroma. Medium body and [...]

In anticipation of tomorrow’s Session topic (Summer Beers) I pulled this out of the fridge. It’s been actually chilly in the mornings the last few days, so I figured I’d better drink this before the autumn weather starts in earnest.
