Beer-a-Day #334 A Tröegs Brewery classic, our Pale Ale is copper colored with generous amounts of Cascade hops to create a floral, aromatic pale ale that smells as delicious as it tastes. Tröegs Pale Ale pairs nicely with Mediterranean foods, starches and anything with fresh herbs. The floral hop character also blends with cheesy dishes

Beer-a-Day #300 JavaHead Stout contains a blend of locally roasted espresso and Kenyan coffee beans by St. Thomas Roasters in Linglestown, PA. Beer-a-Day #255 GonzoFest today. More on that later. In the meantime… Blessed by Hunter S. Thompson… Road Dog Porter was our first beer to be illustrated by Ralph Steadman. This is a dark, rich and malty beer, with hints of chocolate and licorice resulting from the use of four prized malts. We also defended Road

Beer-a-Day #111 The sixth and last (*sigh*) beer from Smoky Mountain Brewery brought to me by my good friend Ellen. Very dark brown and nearly opaque in the glass. Not much head, which is a creamy brown color. Roastiness and a lot of chocolate in the aroma. The flavor reverses it, with a bit of

Beer-a-Day #86 I’ve been having a lot of wheat beers lately. Odd. Pale yellow with a white head. Hazy, but as it is unfiltered that is to be expected. Plenty of that bubblegum, banana, and clove aroma. Light in the mouth with a clean finish. Good stuff. Beer-a-Day #83 Jason insisted I pick up some Nugget Nectar, so I have. Nice medium amber color and off-white head. I can smell the hops from over a foot away. Piney and spicy. Hophead nirvana. Yum! I cracked open my bottle of Rogue Imperial Porter and served it with my NY Strip Steak smothered in caramelized onions & mushrooms. I had purchased this beer as part of my search for a favorite porter. Recently I noted that Victory’s Storm King Stout was closer to the porter I am seeking than any

Beer-a-Day #28 Tröegs calls this their flagship beer. How odd that I’ve never had it. Especially since I generally like Tröegs’ beers. Nice, deep amber color with a white head. Bready from the malt, grassy from the hops. Medium body with a clean finish and plenty of sharp hop bitterness. Me likey. I’ll be picking
