Beer-a-Day #334 A Tröegs Brewery classic, our Pale Ale is copper colored with generous amounts of Cascade hops to create a floral, aromatic pale ale that smells as delicious as it tastes. Tröegs Pale Ale pairs nicely with Mediterranean foods, starches and anything with fresh herbs. The floral hop character also blends with cheesy dishes

Beer-a-Day #325 In the 14th Century, Sailors would rely on sheer skill to get from a starting point to a final destination. They called this Dead Reckoning. We see our beer the same way. We know where to begin and know where to go, but there are hundreds of ways to get there. Dead Reckoning

Beer-a-Day #300 JavaHead Stout contains a blend of locally roasted espresso and Kenyan coffee beans by St. Thomas Roasters in Linglestown, PA. Beer-a-Day #86 I’ve been having a lot of wheat beers lately. Odd. Pale yellow with a white head. Hazy, but as it is unfiltered that is to be expected. Plenty of that bubblegum, banana, and clove aroma. Light in the mouth with a clean finish. Good stuff. Beer-a-Day #83 Jason insisted I pick up some Nugget Nectar, so I have. Nice medium amber color and off-white head. I can smell the hops from over a foot away. Piney and spicy. Hophead nirvana. Yum! Beer-a-Day #60 This is the beginning of Samuel Smith’s week. Samuel Smith Brewery is an independent British brewery in Tadcaster, Yorkshire, England. The brewery itself is Yorkshire’s oldest brewery, and was founded in 1758. I always worry about beer from across the pond, especially when it’s not one of the really popular ones on this

Beer-a-Day #28 Tröegs calls this their flagship beer. How odd that I’ve never had it. Especially since I generally like Tröegs’ beers. Nice, deep amber color with a white head. Bready from the malt, grassy from the hops. Medium body with a clean finish and plenty of sharp hop bitterness. Me likey. I’ll be picking

Beer-a-Day #27 Owned by the same folks who own Barley and Hops, Mountaineer Brewing Company is one of the few breweries in West Virginia. Medium brown color with two-fingers of off-white head. Aroma is lightly nutty with cherries and burnt apple. Creamy mouthfeel with a little sourness. Tuborg aren’t the only ones who are playing on the old joke about beer goggles. Here’s an ad from Tröegs, a craft brewer in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and one of my favorite brewers, for their Troegenator Double Bock, which weighs in at 8.2% ABV. http://www.ifilm.com/video/2674442 You can also read my review of the beer itself. submit_url
