  1. Tried it once but only because it was at a beer festival I was at so I didn’t have to pay for it. I have to say, not a fan of Bud, and it wasn’t great. It was however decent enough to be a gateway beer for those that stick to megabreweries and haven’t ventured their taste buds into craft beer territory.

I won’t buy it myself, but I hope it helps the bud light drinkers of the world realize there are beers with more flavor out there.

  2. I had made the observation the other day (the day before the Super Bowl) at my local mega-mart that along the back wall where there are stacks of mainstream brews (Sam Adams, Red Hook, Bud light, bud light wheat, Mic ultra, Miller, etc) that the pile of Bud Light Wheat was untouched, stacked to the rafters.

  3. Dunno yet. I plan to review it soon, but I have not been able to get to the store. Record-breaking snowfall and whatnot.

  4. I don’t think I will try it….not big on trying any mega company brands. But it makes think that I am being closed minded by not trying it!

  5. A friend of mine had some a while back and I tried one. To be honest, after having so much craft beer and such, all buds taste the same to me. Bud, bud light, 55, except that lime stuff, yick. I suppose the bud wheat did have a bit more of a wheat bite, but really not even as much as a Blue Moon.

  6. I think there is a place for the American “macro style” beers. Not every beer has to be so utterly hopped up that it tastes like sucking on a used tea bag. I thought that a macro wheat could be good. The over cornification of most macro style beers makes them taste a little swampy. That being said, I had very low expectations for Bud Light Wheat. I thought it pretty much tasted like Bud Light. Maybe a full strength macro wheat would be better.
