Beer-a-Day #348 
Generally, this beer is a dark ale, however, the recipe changes each year, offering a unique product crafted with special care. Enjoy your holidays with Abita Christmas Ale. The spicy character is excellent with traditional holiday foods such as gingerbread or spiced nuts.
Medium brown with off-white head. Aroma is light with a bit of spice and caramel. Fairly malty taste with a bit of nuttiness.

This is the last of a six-pack from Abita Beer.
A nice amber color with orange highlights. Big spicy hop aroma. That’s interesting. A good bit of hops but not all that bitter. An interesting fruitiness too. I never thought I’d be surprised by an IPA. Good stuff.
Beer-a-Day #73
This is the fifth of a six-pack from Abita Beer.
Turbodog is probably Abita’s most famous brew.
It pours a nice deep brown with gold highlights; thick cream-colored head. I’m getting a whiff of coffee, vanilla, and some fruit. Pineapple? Plenty of body, with a nice chocolate essence and a smooth finish. I rather like this.

This is number four of a six-pack from Abita Beer.
After two beers gone bad, I’m hoping for a good experience.
Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. A bit of citrusey hops. Body’s lighter than I expected, with a little hop bite. Now this is more like it.

This is the third of a six-pack from Abita Beer.
Very pale yellow with a big white head. Not much aroma; maybe some “yeastiness”. Also a bit lightstruck. Not much flavor. Another that seems off.
I know I’ve had Abita before and liked it. I wonder if the retailer I bought these from was storing them suboptimally.
Beer-a-Day #70
This is the second of a six-pack of beers from Abita Beer.
It’s labeled as a “Raspberry Wheat Brew” and as a “Malt Beverage with Raspberries added”. Sounds ominous.
I’m concerned. There’s a lot of stuff floating in it and I’m getting the slightest hint of lightstruck aroma. It also seems overcarbonated. I get a little bit of raspberry, but not too much. It’s not otherwise very flavorful.
I’m afraid I’m going to have to give this one a pass. Something’s definitely wrong with it. I’ll have to try again.

This begins a new six-pack of beers from a single brewer. This time I’m doing Abita Beer. First up is Abita Amber.
Medium amber (duh!) in color, a healthy ivory colored head. Malty aroma with a bit of peanuttiness. Body is heavier than I expected and quite malty.
