Beer consumption in India up 90%

The Hindu News Update Service: Beer consumption in India up by 90 p.c

Driven by reduced taxes and improved distribution system in North Indian states, beer consumption in the country has gone up more than 90 per cent since 2002, outpacing growth in other BRIC countries.

That’s more than Brazil (20%), Russia (50%) and China (~60%).
