Mountaineer Red Ale was designed by our brewers with full malt flavor in mind. This deep amber brew was crafted with rich caramel malts, Munich malts, and a special blenc of hops from New Zealand and the Pacific Northwest. You will find this ale well balanced and complex, a great choice anytime of year.
Very malty aroma. It smells almost like a barleywine. Very sweet with a bit of roastiness. Not bad.

Mountaineer Pale Ale is our unique interpretation of the classic American Pale Ale. This frothy, copper-golden ale is hand-crafted using only the finest malted barley, pure water and a specially-blended brewer’s yeast. Finally, we employ generous amounts of Northwest Ahtanum and Tomahawk hops for a floral aroma and a subtle hint if [sic] citrus in the finish.
Much more floral than citrus, but with a decent amount of hop bite and a nice finish.

Mahogany with a thin, medium-brown head. I would describe the aroma as “warm”, with plenty of chocolaty undertones. Dry, roasty finish.

Owned by the same folks who own Barley and Hops, Mountaineer Brewing Company is one of the few breweries in West Virginia.
Medium brown color with two-fingers of off-white head. Aroma is lightly nutty with cherries and burnt apple. Creamy mouthfeel with a little sourness.
